Automation Tester

We are seeking a Technical Software Tester to join our expanding Testing Team as an Automation Tester. By doing so you will become part of one of the country’s most exciting technology growth businesses.

We are expanding quickly – we already have 40,000 users of our Optiseller software tools in 140 countries hence the reason our teams across the board are having to expand to meet the demand.

  

About the Role:

You will be responsible for identifying testing projects which are deemed to be good candidates for Test Automation whilst managing these software testing projects and allocated resources. We are looking for suitably qualified people with a selection of the following skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Create automation test strategies based on project and productive objectives
  • Develop, support, and maintain test automation frameworks that provide a foundation for reliable, robust and resilient test automation that can be integrated into a CI/CD pipeline or executed separately to deliver consistent and accurate results.
  • Experience of working in Agile based SCRUM teams desirable.
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Collaborate closely with development teams reporting on bugs and errors
  • Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

 

About you:

  • A minimum of 2 years test automation experience as a technical software tester with proven ability to create automation frameworks from scratch.
  • You’ll ideally have a background in test automation (Selenium Webdriver, Cucumber and Gherkin) at a UI and API level and have been working within an Agile and Microsoft stack (.NET) environment
  • You'll likely have experience working with some of the following, C# and .Net, Azure DevOps (VSTS), Azure, AWS, Microsoft SQL Server, Git and an awareness of the security risks posed by the use of some software engineering patterns.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Experience in mentoring teammates in test automation according to business requirements is desirable.
