Content Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a Content Marketing Specialist to join our expanding Marketing Team and become part of one of the country’s most exciting e-commerce technology growth businesses.

With hybrid working in place, there will be some requirement for you to work from our HQ based in Stirling with the option of some home working also.

Optiseller is one of the country’s leading e-commerce data analytics businesses, helping online retailers across the world sell more effectively in e-commerce marketplaces using our Optiseller software tools, and providing related professional services

We are expanding quickly – we already have 50,000 users of our Optiseller software tools across 140 countries and we are continuing to grow therefore need to continue to build our teams to meet the demands of our customers.   

The Content Marketing Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the creation of branded assets and written content to support our Optiseller initiatives. You will design and manage a range of elements, from landing pages to blogs and social posts, and ensure that they are optimised as required to maximise their performance with alignment to our goals.  

You will use innovation and creativity to produce high-quality, and effective content/assets, and be closely involved in all elements of the Optiseller brand communications.

Roles and Responsibilities 

 Working closely with the Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success team, you will: 

  • Create the physical and digital assets required to support marketing and communication campaigns aimed at new and existing customers. E.g., social posts, blog posts, and long-form pieces.
  • Assist with the management of the Optiseller website and blog, including the design of written content and social media pieces.
  • Always represent the Optiseller brand guidelines, ensuring they are adhered to through the business.
  • Assist the Marketing Team Lead with conversion rate optimisation techniques, including A/B testing of landing pages and social posts.
  • Work with external partners and agencies to manage outbound communications, such as PR activity and events.

Requirements:

  • Experience in creating high-quality, performance content from idea to delivery. Including design, structure, layout, and conversion principles.
  • HTML/CSSbasic understanding
  • Knowledge/understanding of various social media platforms and websites
  • Branding, brand presence, and brand guidelines experience
  • Attention to detail, flexibility, and time management
  • Creative flair and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment

Ideally: 

  • Knowledge of technical SEO
  • Experience in email marketing
  • Data analysis, Google Analytics, and web metrics
  • Experience in SaaS products and/or e-commerce and online marketplaces, ideally eBay
  • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other design software 
  • Proficient in the use of Canva for social media asset design
  • Experience working with PR agencies and journalists
