Today is the day!
Today is the deadline for eBay’s mandated changes. If you haven’t seen, we have been keeping sellers up to date through our blog with the latest information for each vertical. To make this easier for you, we’ve put it all in one place so you can get started ASAP if you haven’t already!
What’s going on?
eBay have mandated Item Specifics for certain verticals where they have noticed an influx in traffic through filtering. The changes were announced in October 2021 with a deadline of the 22nd of February. Now the deadline has passed, there are consequences if you haven’t made these changes.
Have I missed the boat?
Thankfully, you can still make these changes. In fact, you will have to if you want to list any new items or re-list any current listings. You will not be permitted to do so if there are unpopulated required Item Specifics remaining on these listings. As well as this, your listings will drop from search whenever buyers are filtering, meaning less traffic for you, and potentially more for your competitors!
