Optiseller seeking a Technical Team Lead

We are currently looking for experienced Team Leaders to join our Product and Technology team as our business continues to grow at an immense speed.

Based in Stirling, although there is the opportunity for home/office working, you will join a highly experienced, motivated team to take the company to the next level of strategic growth and beyond within the E-commerce space.

We have been around for 15 years as Developing IT, rebranding last year as Optiseller.

Optiseller is now one of the country’s leading data analytics businesses supporting online retailers across the world to sell more effectively in the e-commerce market places as well as helping them with the onboarding process onto eBay and other marketplace platforms. We currently have 50,000 users of our product across 130 countries.

The Optiseller solutions are built primarily using Microsoft technologies.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in software engineering and a good work ethic as well as the ability to work well in a team and with customers. Responsibilities:

As one of our Team Leaders, you will be responsible for leading a multi-discipline technical team to help achieve their workload.  You will have exposure to working with developers and testers during the software development life cycle. The main duties include

  • Supervising, managing, and motivating team members on a daily basis
  • Lead by example
  • Communicating goals and deadlines to team members
  • Planning workloads and delegating tasks
  • Creating a productive work environment for the team using trust and other appropriate strategies
  • Assessing team performance and providing feedback to employees
  • Assisting with hiring and training employees
  • Providing teams with information about recent developments, programmes, and policy changes of management
  • Supporting the team with questions and where appropriate escalations

You will also work with other stakeholders to understand the wider goals and requirements of the business and work with others to break down the workload and facilitate the team's planning.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience as a Team Leader
  • Worked with software development teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent motivational skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail

Ideally:

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience or a strong interest in the E-commerce Sector

Remuneration

In addition to your salary, which will be based on your level of experience, we offer an annual profit-related bonus, private health care, an attractive pension, and other benefits.
