A 967% increase in listing quality against eBay standards: an Optiseller Case Study

Cloving is a UK based online retailer that provides premium brands of clothes to you at an affordable price. Established solely on the ecommerce platform, they believe the future of fashion is online.

The problem
Cloving participated in Optiseller’s three-month eBay scaling programme focused on growing their business in the marketplace.

The goal of the programme was to ensure that their products are optimised for success and get the most visibility and greatest chance of conversion.

Cloving had a series of meetings with Optiseller’s Scaling team which focused on eBay best practices.

The solution
Cloving were really engaged throughout the course of the three months in improving the level of their eBay store.

Optiseller took Cloving back to basics and focused on delivering consultative advice. The programme focused on categorisation mapping, item specifics, title structures, GTINs, promotional activity, and eBay search. The aim was to significantly enhance their search visibility on the marketplace and off-site.

The Results
After 3 months of participating, Cloving saw:
  • 52% increase in completed item specifics, driving more visibility for their listings

  • 967% increase in listing quality against eBay standards

    And the business performance increase speaks volumes:
  • 158% increase in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) YoY

  • 196% increase in quantity sold YoY

  • 164% increase in Organic Sales Share
